Pulsed electromagnetic field sessions delivered on a full-body mat or through a targeted applicator. Comfortable, quick, and usually scheduled alongside something else rather than on its own.

You lie fully clothed on a mat, or a coil applicator is positioned over one area. A session runs somewhere between eight and thirty minutes depending on the programme. Most people feel either nothing at all or a faint pulsing; at higher intensities you may notice a light muscle twitch, which is expected and stops when the session does.
This is the screening question that matters. Pacemakers, implanted defibrillators, neurostimulators, cochlear implants and insulin pumps are all reasons we would not run PEMF, because the field can interfere with the device. Pregnancy, active bleeding and known seizure disorders are also reasons we would decline. Tell us about anything implanted, including things implanted years ago that you no longer think about.
PEMF is almost always a component rather than the whole plan - it stacks easily because it is short, needs no recovery and does not conflict with the other services here. If someone is trying to sell you PEMF on its own as the answer to something, treat that with suspicion.
Specific PEMF devices hold FDA clearance for a narrow set of orthopaedic indications. The broad wellness claims made for the category generally are not established, and we are not going to repeat them to you. What we can say is what a session is, who it is not safe for, and what it costs.
